NGC 1978 Jefferson nickel struck on copper cent blank. The coin weighs 3.1 grams, and is copper and is smaller than a normal nickel. The off-metal occurred when a cent planchet was fed into a press that was striking nickels, and struck with the nickel dies. MS63 Red/Brown
