Antique Bausch & Lomb Mechanical Stage Microscope Attachment Pat. 1897 Brass

This is a fine antique brass mechanical stage attachment for a microscope, manufactured by Bausch & Lomb Optical Co. in Rochester, N.Y. It features an intricate design with dual adjustment knobs and graduated scales for precise specimen movement. The piece is marked with the Bausch & Lomb logo and 'PAT. AUG. 24, 97'. It retains much of its original brass finish with a beautiful aged patina. All adjustment mechanisms appear to move smoothly.
