Framed Antique Applique Egyptian Revival Textile 1920s

Wonderful antique hand-stitched tapestry featuring iconic Egyptian figures in a boat. The piece, made of linen and cotton, is framed under glass. These type of appliqued tapestries were made in the 1920s by tent makers for sale to tourists visiting Egypt. Many were framed later, as is suspected of this piece due to the wear of some of the applique (please see photos for condition). A delightful art piece appliqued in a restrained neutral color palette that will compliment any decor or collection. This framed art was given to a nonprofit, so I don't have any additional history on it. The piece measures 20.5"x20.5". The frame is solid and in great shape.
