A mid-18th century violin with unaltered neck, bearing the spurious label of Matthias Wenzl Placht, Schönbach, 1721. However, the violin is certainly a Saxon or Vogtland work of this period. Has roughly fitted Baroque bridge and antique tailpiece of the period.
