An ORIGINAL COMPLETE FRONT SAW GUIDE ASSEMBLY for a Stanley No. 246 "small frame" cast iron mitre box by STANLEY. This assembly has a tapered base that is secured to the moveable arm of the mitre box by a large slotted screw that is included with the saw guide assembly. The front saw guide has a different release mechanism from the rear saw guide as it is triggered by a the saw trip clamp, rather than by lifting the saw. This example is excellent condition and it could be put directly to use restoring a Stanley No. 242, 244 or 246 mitre box, which all use the "small frame" mitre box, which has a maximum mitre joint cut of 5 1/2" at 45 degrees.
