Vintage large primitive black pull handle. Blacksmith made? Barn shed door

I'm guessing this is blacksmith made but can't say for sure. It is 8 1/2" long from outside foot to foot. It sits flat against the door but when laid down one leg is slightly higher than the other (see next to last pic). A small shiny spot is on the outside tip where the base was scraped (last pic). Weighs 12 oz.
