Original Paymaster Series 8000 mechanical check writer and fraud protection machine by The Paymaster Corp. (Chicago, IL), circa early 1960s. Used to mechanically set and imprint dollar and cent amounts on checks to prevent alteration. Features mint green enamel finish, chrome trim, “Dollars/Cents” sliding levers, locking protection system, and heavy-duty steel construction. Fully mechanical (no power). Condition: Very good vintage condition. Levers move, rollers turn, mechanisms intact. Light age wear consistent with vintage. Serial #78N24521. Great for collectors, mid-century décor, office décor, or prop/display use.
